The Story Behind the Name: Apostoli Collective

When you start a business, one of the first questions people ask you is: “So...what are you going to name it?”
And take it from me: naming a company is no small task. It’s branding, identity, storytelling… and a smidge of existential crisis, all rolled into one.
So naturally I did what any practical, slightly dramatic, and deeply intentional entrepreneur would do: I named it after my last name: Apostoli. Now, before everyone assumes that this is a sentimental, generations-deep family‑legacy story, here’s the twist: I married into this last name. That's right, I didn’t grow up as an Apostoli. I chose it. Just like I chose to build a business that reflects how I lead. And honestly? It ended up being the perfect name… for a few reasons.
1. It’s bold. It’s distinctive. And yes, it’s hard to spell.
Let’s get this out of the way first: no one... and I mean no one... gets “Apostoli” right on the first try.
I’ve seen:
Apastolli
Appa‑stoli
Apostolie
And once, “Pasta‑oli,” (which honestly just made me hungry).
While the official name is Apostoli Collective, you’ll see me use the shorthand AP Collective across the website and throughout my branding. Consider it a classy little workaround that saves the world from autocorrect chaos.
2. “Apostoli” may not be the name I was born with, but it represents the life I’m building.
I married into this name, and I'm continuing to build my career with it. Whether I'm leading teams, designing sales strategies, writing business plans, coordinating outreach, planning events from the ground up, or helping colleagues and clients step into their confidence, this name has defined some of the most meaningful and compelling chapters of my professional life.
It represents the work I’ve done, the teams I’ve elevated, the growth I've championed and the type of leader I've become.
I may not have inherited the name, but I’ve absolutely earned it.
3. And then there’s the word I chose on purpose: Collective.
Everything I do revolves around collaboration. Whether I’m stepping in as a Fractional Sales Leader, shaping a business plan, training a team, or spearheading outreach, the work is always done with my clients.
Not at them and certainly not for them.
With them.
“Collective” reflects the heart of my leadership style: shared success, shared growth, shared wins.
Nothing thrives in a silo, particularly not in sales, events, hospitality or growth strategy.
Apostoli Collective isn't just my business. It's a partnership-driven approach to building something meaningful.
4. The Name = The Brand = The Work
So yes, the name Apostoli Collective has a story.
It’s bold. It’s personal. It’s a little sassy. And it represents exactly what I bring to the table:
Strategic sales leadership
Smart, executable business plans
Confident outbound + business development
Team training that actually sticks
Clear structure that turns chaos into growth
Call it Apostoli Collective. Call it AP Collective. At the end of the day, it’s always built from intention and backed by results.
